C1/C2 Rating, Sat. June 14, AND Sun. June 15, 2008

**Please Note: There are some changes from what was printed in the Omnibus.

Due to an abundance of C1/C2 Candidates, two different ratings will be held on both Sat and Sun.  You will be notified of which date you will be rating within a week after the close date; when all applications have been received.  If you are in need of a certain date, please indicate so on your application.  We will try and honor all requests but, it will depend on order applications are received, and the over all needs of those rating and the raters.  Those taking their C2’s will most likely ride on Sunday.

8:00-8:30 Briefing

*Bandaging and Conformation blocks will be done at formals.

1:45-2:00 C1’s safety check each other for teaching block
2:00-4:30 Group 2 ride flat, grids, stadium

Breakfast and Lunch: Light Snack will be available – Please Bring a Sack Lunch.

 

Stabling: Limited stabling available.  $25 a night.  Please include separate check made out to Brookside Farm with this application, and write dates requested in memo portion.

       Club check made out to Metamora Hunt Pony Club for $50 per candidate

       Check for $25 per night for stabling, payable to Brookside, with dates needed in memo.

       Current Negative Coggins Test

       Medical Release Form, with original signatures

       Application form, with signatures

       DC note describing candidate’s club participation and preparations for rating (may email)

Directions:  8360 Rushton, South Lyon, MI  248-446-0860 (please only call for directions)

From the north: From US-23, take I-96 East. Exit at Kensington Rd. Go south to T-intersection (Silver Lake Rd.). Turn right. Road curves left and turns to dirt (Rushton). Go down a small hill. The driveway is on the right just before a small bridge. Look for the sign (can't see the facility from the road).

From the south: Take US-23 north to exit #54 East (South Lyon exit). Bear right onto 9 Mile Rd. (if you get to McDonalds, you've gone the wrong way…) Go 2.5 mi. to stop sign at Rushton Rd. Turn left. Where pavement turns left, go straight onto dirt road. Go 1.5 mi. (past 12 Mile Rd.). After bridge, farm is on left. Look for sign (can't see facility from the road).

Code of Conduct:

USPC is proud of it’s reputation for good sportsmanship, horsemanship, teamwork, and well-behaved members.  The USPC and the organizers and officials of USPC Activities/Rallies expect appropriate behavior from all competitors, parent(s) and others participating in any USPC Activity/Rally.

Inappropriate behavior is, but not limited to:

  • Possession, use, or distribution of any illegal drugs or alcohol
  • Assault
  • Profanity, vulgar language or gestures
  • Harrassment- using words or actions that intimidate, threaten, or persecute others
  • Cheating
  • Abusing a horse

Any USPC member or parent not conforming to the Code of Conduct is subject to the following action:  The Officials of the activity may immediately suspend or expel an individual from the activity.
