This letter contains information necessary for completing forms required to represent the GLR at the 2008 USPC Championships to be held in Lexington, Virginia, July 24-27. Please make sure you understand the commitment that is required to attend the National Championships, and ask questions if you need more information. Comprehensive information regarding all aspects of championships at the National level can be found on the USPC website in the Championship GOLD BOOK and in the USPC NEWS hard copy of the GOLD BOOK.
The Region’s current procedure for Championship selection in each discipline can be obtained from your DC or can be found on the GLR Yahoo digest site. Please read carefully. If you have questions or concerns don’t hesitate to contact the Champs Coordinator or the RS.
GLR Quiz ranking at the rally in March will be determined for each division automatically for all participants, however the pony clubber does need to submit a registration form if interested in being selected for a team.
Discipline entry fees (minus your $50 deposit) will be the responsibility of the participant, and approximate cost for each participant is listed. There is no entry fee for Stable Managers. There may be a coaching fee, particularly for Eventing and Show Jumping, to be determined prior to entry fee deadline.

Hotel/Camping: Each competitor is responsible for making their own arrangements- do it early as nearby space fills extremely early.
Regional shirts will be ordered for pony clubbers and parents in June. They are teal polo shirts with GLR Champs discipline logo embroidery. Cost is approximately $40 and payment is expected at the time entry fees are paid.
A $50 refund will be returned as necessary in August if a pony clubber does not qualify, or is otherwise unable to participate in USPC Championships due to a legitimate reason with documentation from physician or vet. If a pony clubber cannot go to championships after all fees have been paid to the national office, the Championships Coordinator will attempt to get a full refund from the national office and will need a written statement from the pony clubber’s vet or physician as soon as possible. However, if this is not possible the pony clubber is responsible for reimbursement to the region for all fees paid on behalf of the pony clubber.
Items required for competitor Regional Registration at this time include 1) Completed Registration Form 2) Participation Summary (see separate form for guidelines) 3) $50 registration fee (club or personal check) postmarked by NOVEMBER 17, 2007 for GAMES and April 1, 2008 for ALL other disciplines.
