The second HB/HA Upper Level Prep of the 2008 season is coming up on the weekend of December 14-16!  The cost of the prep is only $55 and that will cover food, housing, and meals for the entire weekend!

Attendees are expected to arrive by 7pm on Friday December 14th.  Departure time is 4pm on Sunday December 16th.

You will find the `GLR Prep Application Sheet' on the GLR Yahoo digest site.  The 'Medical Release form 2007' can be found on the forms page of the USPC website.  You will need to bring these forms completely filled out to the prep in order to participate.  **If you have already filled them out and brought them to me at the November prep you do NOT need to do them again for the Dec Prep.
 
These preps are ONLY open to those who are currently rated at the C2 level or higher.
 
Below is a brief description of our December HB/HA Unmounted Prep.  This will give you a general idea of what topics I plan to cover at this prep.  None of this is written in stone and could be changed depending on a variety of factors, but this is the plan I will try to follow.  The amount that we cover at each prep differs from year to year depending on the number of attendees, as well as the level of those who attend.

Assignment:  Research one Nervous System, Digestive, or Skin Disease, and one Parasite Life Cycle to be presented at Jan Prep

Assignments will be given at the preps and anyone who wishes to attend the preps must come with the assigned tasks complete!

List of items to bring...

• Written Lesson Plan for 10 Minute Unmounted lesson to be presented to group
• Tack/Bit/Training Aids Assigned from Nov Prep (MUST BE CLEAN!)
• Record Book for your horse
• One 4" wide Ace bandage (or other acceptable wrap for tail bandage)
• Proper Footwear & Appropriate Warm Clothing for the barn
• USPC D, C, & B/HA/A Manuals
• Note taking materials
• Large 3 Ring Binder for all Handouts
• Sleeping bag, pillow, PJs, etc.
• Make sure ALL your items are labeled with your name!!!
